Ditto, is a rescue dog of mixed breed. She came to us by recommendation from our vet.
Ditto was found in a National Forest when she was young. Apparently she had gotten loose from a camper or hiker and gotten lost. She was found by another hiker but the owner was never located. Ditto was then given to the vet because the "finder" could not provide for her.
The vet placed her with a family who already had dogs. It was here that Ditto actually got her name. The owner would command his dogs to do something, and instead of giving the command to the new dog, he just said "ditto". And then the dog began to respond to the name Ditto. As time passed, it became evident that the other dogs picked on Ditto and Ditto, now with a name, was returned to the vet.
The vet called us as we have been known to handle rescued dogs. Ditto had seperation anxiety. No surprise there with her history, how could she not? Also Ditto had never walked on hardwood or tile floors, so almost immediately, our house was transformed with rugs leading from a bedding area to the back door. She is better with the floors now but still prefers carpeting.
Ditto has now been placed with a gentleman in Union Mills, NC. She has her "forever" home now. She is well mannered and responds to off lead commands.

Oh, yeah, what are you gonna do? Release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouth and when they bark, they shoot bees at you? |
